Through research I found out that students and employees due to any reason they procrastinate. For instance poor management of their time goal and objectives, difficulties on concentration and not completing tasks. Unorganized lifestyle, waste of time, frustration, fear anxiety and failure. Last but not least the two main reasons the lack of time and laziness. Many of us have procrastinated to some degree or another but, according to statistics, procrastination is increasing radically. In the other hand a suggestion of people putting things off because they work better under pressure known as ‘”adrenaline rush”. My game will try and beat that procrastination by showing every person the minutes spending each time he/ she procrastinates and if he/she can give 3 minutes on only one task without multitasking. For the Negotiated project, I chose the second project: Investigate what can happen in three minutes and interpret it graphically. I was more interested because of the difficulty and it required more thinking and exploration. Over the course of the last ten years the average attention span has dropped from 12 minutes to a short 3 to 5 minutes and it keeps dropping every year. Through research I found out that in the last 30 years procrastination levels quadrupled (more than 20% of the human population). My game aims to show people that they actually procrastinate either because they are lazy, either because they have a break, or because they feel stressed from their daily routine and they want just three to five minutes to change their routine. The second aim is to see if the users can focus on a task for three minutes without thinking of doing something else (attention span) The game will last 3 minutes and it can be played only once every day, that means after the start of each game, the player has 3 minutes to get as many points as he can before the time runs out. After the end of the round, a 24 hour countdown appearsThe player will face obstacles (loosing points) making his journey more difficult. They will get some power ups too (meaningmore points).By choosing harder mode the points will be more, but so do the obstacles. When the time ends the points are added to the leader board score. Each day, week and month the top 10 players will receive either vouchers for discounts or actual products, depending each time from the sponsor. This is the first game ever to introduce such a feature. Through the design of the 3’ minute game, I will aim to enable people to procrastinate creatively, to push those people to spend 3 minutes once a day just to play this game. This is enough just like their attention span (0.2% every day). It is really a challenge because there is no pause and as soon as the game starts the player has to focus entirely in the game. People cannot get addicted with this game, because its playable only for 3 minutes, you play it when you have a break when you want to procrastinate in general, plus at the end it rewards you (if you are lucky. The game will be influence from games such as flappy bird, space invader and pac-man where the main goal is to get points and bit the high score. Also it will be influence from the interface of angry gran run and subway surfer where the character moves unstoptable and you have to avoid obstacles and gather power- ups and coins. The game will be part of a reward - survey application (a earn and burn system). Each month companies will pay for sponsorship (advertising-marketing system). The companies are willing to sponsor this kind of app- more players means more advertisements of their product (pay per click). The game will consist of 3 main characters and each month new characters will be introduced. Characters have special abilities, for instance Jack might be overweight and small but that means it’s easier for him to avoid obstacles, but he will get fewer points. For Jessica, a medium player obstacles and power ups are level equally. Last but not least Jack , an athletic hardcore player that he must avoid more obstacles at faster speed giving him though more points. It is a gable whether you want to get the easy road (with fewer points or the hard road (which it would be more stressful with more points (have more changes on getting in the top 10 leaderboards) In conclusion the game will have a daily to weekly high score were the Top 10 will receive vouchers and or prizes each time. Each month the sponsors will be different. The target audience is open to everyone, who generally has a smartphone and use it daily. By adding the function of sponsoring, more companies will want to join, this is a new and effective way of advertising, it also adds incentive to the user as they will want to play because they will have the chance of earning something. Next step is to introduce the game on a website and consoles.
